10 months of Joy

Jayda turned 10 months on August 12th and boy, have we accomplished a lot! We just got back from her 2nd airplane trip to Indianapolis. She was absolutely perfect on the airplane (I definitely worry way too much.) She slept, had snacks and smiled at everyone around us. Jayda even tried to share her rice cake with the gentleman that was sitting next to us. Once the safe landing in Indianapolis, we were able to spend time with my amazing family and friends. Jayda was quite the hit. She now smiles when you have a camera aimed at her...what a ham! I love it! Unfortunately, I did not take one picture, so family, please send me pics soon! Now back to our every day lives in Tampa. My nanny did send me this picture from her phone today, while I was at work. I absolutely love it! Time to start planning the first birthday......

The Face

This is Jayda's new face. Not sure if I would say it is cute, but it is quite funny. When someone Jayda has never met or has not seen in awhile says hello to her, she makes this face. Not a nice warm smile, nope, you get the face. Hopefully this is just a phase and won't last too long!

Catching up with old friends

What a great Sunday! One day a year, I get to see and catch up with an old friend from my younger years. Today was that day. There was a point in our lives that we were inseperable. We rode bikes, saw each other every day, and I even went on family vacations with her. BFF for life right?! Well, not exactly. We grew up and moved even farther away from each other. We never talk on the phone or email. BUT...once a year, she comes to St. Pete Beach for her family timeshare and we get to chat for hours without skipping a beat. I can't help but smile when I am writing this because nothing is better than catching up with old friends. Thanks Trish for such a great day!

To Nana Kate,

Love, Jayda

I Scream You Scream

We went out to dinner last night to a place called Square One Burgers. I had the Aloha Chicken and Troy had a kobe beef burger made to his liking. Jayda had some chicken, sweet potato fries, and some broccoli. We all loved it. So when we were asked at the end of our meal if we saved some room for dessert, Troy looked at me for an answer (because I always want dessert.) However, for the first time, after I turned the amazing offer down, Troy said, "I would like to try that fresh apple bread pudding." I couldn't believe my ears! How dare he get a dessert without me?! :) Well, I ended up eating the vanilla ice cream that came with his pudding and I shared my ice cream experience with Jayda. Jayda finishing her dinner like a good girl. Very first bite of vanilla ice cream! Very proud of herself :) Give me more ice cream!
